Correspondence with Carl Zigrosser, 1941-1971, n.d.

Included in this correspondence is an early biographical statement, letters about the progress of new work, notes about individual prints and technique, comments about past work, Kohn's response to Zigrosser's writing, and copies of several short pieces about Kohn by Zigrosser. A great deal of the correspondence dates from 1960-1961, when Kohn was awarded a retrospective by the Ford Foundation through the American Federation of Artists. Zigrosser wrote the catalog for the exhibition, and among the le tters are check lists of Kohn's prints, drafts of the essay for the catalog, page proofs, and photographs of Kohn's work.
